As a reception volunteer, you will help out taking telephone calls and transferring calls where appropriate or taking messages, and completing tasks for the services that we support. You will be in the main reception area and other duties include greeting customers that call into reception and taking payments as well as other reception tasks.
You will be supported at all times and training will be given on the use of the phones and any other office equipment you are likely to use. You can volunteer to do a set shift either in the morning or the afternoon. We also have volunteers who come and help us out on and as needed basis so there is no set commitment.
Volunteering on reception is good experience for your CV if you want to find work in an office, are in-between jobs, or you are requiring some office experience to be able to apply for jobs.
