Care and Support Workers – Bakewell

We’re recruiting enthusiastic, reliable, experienced (preferred) Support Workers to work in a Supported Living Setting supporting adults with additional needs in the Bakewell area.

You will be promoting independence and supporting clients to lead a life that is as fulfilling as possible by enabling them to participate in social based activities and day to day tasks.

We are a small, caring, not-for-profit organisation, offering a range of working hours.   We are looking for people who drive and have access to their own vehicle.   We are looking for staff who can work a 24 hour day/Sleeping night shift(s) as part of a regular 24/7 Rota.

  •  Free Full Care Certificate Training programme with ongoing support
  •  Hourly pay for all training completed
  •  DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service Check) paid for by us

Salary: £8.91 for day shifts and £7.70 per hour for sleep-in night shifts.

COVID-19 considerations:

All Support Workers are required to wear PPE at all times when with clients and adhere to safe-working practices. We would expect staff to be participating in daily/weekly COVID testing. Double Vaccination preferred.

Care and Support Workers – Older Adults

We are recruiting enthusiastic, reliable, caring Support Workers to provide care and support to older people in their own homes.  You will be required to assist with a variety of task:;

  • personal care
  • medication
  • meal preparation
  • domestic duties
  • supporting clients out into the community

No experience necessary as full training and mentoring will be offered.  Hours are on a structured rota system and are flexible based on a 3 week shift pattern including morning, evening and weekend work.

Areas available to work in: Buxton, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills and surrounding areas.  Own transport essential.

We offer:

  • Free Full Care Certificate Training programme with ongoing support
  • Hourly pay for all training completed
  • An opportunity to train towards Level 2 & 3 Health & Social Care Diploma
  • Both fixed hours (up to 16 hours per week) and zero hours contracts available
  • Pay £8.91 – £9.66 per hour

  • Travel time paid for time taken to travel between client’s homes

Care Coordinator – Care & Support Service Buxton
(Children & Young People and Older Adults)

We are introducing an exciting new post to support our ‘Care & Support’ services. This is a new role is ideally suited for someone with a background in working in health and social care.

Working across all of our ‘Care & Support’ services, supporting people of all ages, our new Care Coordinator will act as a Quality Champion for both our service users and our staff – helping us to achieve outstanding standards of care.

Although based from our Buxton office, the role will involve significant travel – meeting with service users, their families and our staff across our geographical area. This is a key role in helping us to ensure that we provide excellent and appropriate care, and that we give good support, training and guidance to our care staff team. The role will also involve some office working, providing additional service coordinator capacity to our very busy office teams.

More detailed information is given in job description, as well as the application documents. This post is for 30 hours/week, worked over five days, Monday to Friday. The FTE salary for the role is £22,183 which equates to £17,986 for a 30 hour week.  Mileage expenses will be reimbursed for on-the-job travel.

We are looking for people who drive and have access to their own vehicle (Essential)

We are a small, caring, not-for-profit organisation, offering a range of working hours.  We are looking for staff who can work flexibly and are able to work ideally at weekends or at least every other weekend.

  • Hourly pay for all training completed
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check paid for by us

Job type: part-time

Salary: £8.91 – £9.40 per hour
