Coordinator – Connex Care and Support Service

based in Ashton under Lyne

20 hours/week

FTE Salary: £21,166
Actual salary: £11,441 (for 20 hours/week)

12 months’ contract, with possibility of extension

We are looking for a well organised and caring person to join our team, to help administer and coordinate our care service in Tameside.

The service provides support to parents and carers of a child with a disability, giving them some valuable respite time, and providing quality, responsive care for our young service users. Rated ‘GOOD’ by the Care Quality Commission, the service needs someone with good communication and people skills to support our management team by organising staff rotas and liaising with families to ensure that we meet their support needs.

You will have experience of working in an office, ideally within the care sector. You must be passionate about helping young people with a disability to reach their potential, and have a strong empathy with their families and carers. The 20 hours can be worked over 4 days, but should include a Wednesday.

Support Worker – High Peak

Care and Support – Children and Young People 

We’re recruiting enthusiastic, reliable, experienced Support Workers to work with children and adults with an additional need or disability in the High Peak area. You will be promoting independence and supporting them to lead a life that is as fulfilling as possible by enabling them to participate in social based activities and day to day tasks. We are a small, caring, not-for-profit organisation, offering a range of working hours:

We are looking for people who drive, and can work flexibly during the day, evenings, early mornings and weekends.   You will be required to work at least 1 weekend in 4.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking people who are reliable and caring, previous experience of children /adults additional needs / disabilities desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Hoarding Clearance Service Operative

based at our Buxton office but covering Derbyshire

Casual staff, hours subject to service demand

£10 per hour

 

Do you like a challenge and don’t mind getting your hands dirty?

Connex Community Support is a charity providing support to vulnerable people across Derbyshire’s Peaks and Dales.  To help us remain financially sustainable and deliver help to those most in need, we operate a range of services run on a social enterprise basis.  We are currently developing our Hoarding Clearance service, which tackles clearance and cleaning of the properties of people affected by Hoarding Disorder.

Due to the high level of demand for this service, we are now looking for bank staff who can help us out at times of high workload. We are looking for people who have an understanding of the sensitive issues around hoarding disorders.  You should be fit, as the work will involve some heavy lifting.  You will also require a full driving licence.

The role will sometimes involve clearance of unpleasant waste materials, so this role is not for the squeamish!  In return you will receive full training and protective clothing, and will work in a small, happy and dedicated team.

Support Workers for Children and Young Adults – Tameside

Care and Support Workers – Older Adults

Would you like to make a real difference by improving the quality of life for older people wishing to remain in their own home?

If so, then why not join our Care and Support team?

We are a Domiciliary Care Agency with an excellent reputation, registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Derbyshire County Council as an approved Quality Premium Provider.  We are now looking for special people who are caring and dedicated to providing care and support for older people, helping them to maintain their dignity and promote independence.

 You will be required to assist with a variety of tasks, including

  • help in/out of bed,
  • personal care,
  • medication,
  • meal preparation,
  • domestic duties,
  • supporting clients out into the community.

Hours are on a structured rota system and are flexible based on a 3 week shift pattern including morning, evening and weekend work.

No experience is necessary as full training and mentoring will be provided, but you should have an empathy with older people.

Areas available to work in: Buxton, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills and surrounding areas.  Own transport essential.
