We help people in need to live safer and more fulfilled lives in their communities

Our unique range of support and care services helps over 4,000 people in the Derbyshire Peaks and Dales every year

Connex Community Support is a charity dedicated to helping people in need.

We help older people, families, children and young people.  We help them live safer and more fulfilled lives within their communities.

We understand what people need and how to provide it.  Caring is at the heart of what we do and we respect the dignity of the people we support.

We help people to feel less isolated and to retain their independence, we work with people with disabilities and we support carers.  We help people to build skills and confidence through volunteering.  These are just a few of the ways that Connex Community Support can change people’s lives.

But don’t just take our word for it.  Take a look at the video to see what the people we work with have to say.

We have a wide variety of voluntary roles within Connex to interest you.   Would you like to work with older people?  Help people after hospital discharge?  Work with disabled children? Or how about driving for us?  Is an admin role more your style?  Take a look at our Volunteer for Us page to find out more!

Auction of Promises – The Devonshire Dome, 28 March 7pm

Connex is delighted to have been chosen as one of three beneficiaries of the ‘Auction of Promises’ that is being organised by Buxton Lions, The Rotary Club of Buxton and the University of Derby.

Promises are being pledged by businesses and residents across the High Peak, and these will be auctioned on the 28th March to help raise much needed funds. There will be a wonderful range of items and experiences up for auction – things to suit all budgets. So do come along on the night – entry is free, with drinks and snacks available to purchase.

Staff and services at Connex are pledging promises too – but we need more, and that’s where you can help. You may be a star baker, love gardening, enjoy dog walking, good at washing cars or enjoy doing the ironing – whatever your skill, why not offer some of your time to help raise funds for Connex, the Thomas Theyer Foundation  and Buxton Mountain Rescue.

To submit your promise, you can either download the form here or pick up a copy from the Buxton office.  The deadline for promises is 21st Feb. We are also pulling together an Easter hamper for auction, so a small financial contribution towards this would also be very welcome.

Let’s hope together we raise lots of money!
