A great opportunity for an empathetic volunteer to share their IT knowledge in a community setting. IT expertise is not needed, but some prior knowledge and a willingness to learn, teach and share IT alongside a cup of tea! Providing practical help to enable people to use technology confidently, to talk to their families and see the world! We are looking for someone who is up for a challenge, reliable, patient and personable. You should have an interest in technology, but you do not have to be an expert in it. If you know how to use email or how to browse on the internet, we would love to hear from you.
Tea, Talk and Tech helps people to get connected online in an informal way over a cup of tea! We work with local people to demystify technology.
We work with people both in their own homes and in community hubs.
Our mission is to connect people within the community by helping them get online.
Technology connects people with loved ones, helps them meet new people, or explore new opportunities and experiences. It can also positively benefit mental and physical health, and tackle depression and loneliness.
