A Musical Celebration for Wonderful Volunteers and an Opportunity to Give Our Clients a Rare Evening Out
As part of Volunteers’ Week 2026, we enjoyed an evening of fabulous entertainment performed by the very talented Katy Allan in the beautiful surroundings of the Pump Room.
The event brought together our fantastic volunteers and clients for an evening of music spanning the decades, with plenty of toe-tapping and singing along.
One particularly memorable moment came during Katy’s performance of I Dreamed a Dream, when the room fell completely silent as her beautiful voice carried over the sound of the water.
It is thanks to the Pump Room and the support of the Bingham Trust that we were able to provide our clients with a rare evening out while also taking the opportunity to thank our volunteers, who give so much of their time and kindness to the local community.
Guests shared some lovely feedback from the evening:
“It has been so much better than I thought it was going to be, it has been lovely, feels like I’ve had a real treat.”
“I’ve had a lovely evening; it is so good to be part of something so positive. It is good to see so many clients here tonight who rarely get the opportunity to go out in the evening. It feels like a safe space and somewhere to relax and enjoy yourself.”
“What a wonderful evening, thank you for organising, I have had such fun.”

A huge thank you to Matt and his staff at the Pump Room for looking after us so well, to Katy Allan for her wonderful performance, and to the Bingham Trust for helping make the evening possible.
Most of all, thank you to the volunteers and clients who joined us and made the evening such a pleasure.
