Charity Fashion Show with ‘Colours’

Come along and enjoy an evening of fun and fashion!  Get the latest looks whilst helping raise money to support VCSPD. Colours Fundraising Fashion Shows will be holding a Ladies Clothing fashion show, and offers the opportunity to buy the clothes modelled after the show at 50% or more off the RRP.  The clothing will have something for everyone and includes ex- high street garments from a range of well-known brands including M&S, Oasis and Top Shop.  As well as the show, there will be a raffle.  Refreshments available. Date: Wednesday 14th March 2018 at the United Reformed Church in Buxton, Derbyshire. £5 entry fee.  Ladies clothing only - sorry, gents!

Silver Screen Socials

Offering older people the chance to get out and meet new people, these silver screen socials will be the perfect antidote to that Monday afternoon feeling. Starting on Monday 25 March at 1.30pm at the Old Hall Hotel, the first event will be a film quiz. So if you think you know your Orson Welles films from your John Wayne, then this is the perfect time to test your knowledge. Entry is free and they’re even throwing in a free drink! Thursday Club – Men’s Group

Older gentlemen enjoying a drink Alive and Kickin’ are starting a new member-led monthly men's group, the Thursday Club, for gents over 65 who want to get out more, meet people and make new friends. Members will be able to help develop the group and to organise their own future activities whilst playing traditional pub games and having a chat over a drink in a local pub. Coffee Morning – event for over 65’s

Come and enjoy us for a Coffee Morning - an event for over 65's.  A regular social group every Monday at the Lee Wood Hotel, from 10.30am to midday.  A chance to make new friends or meet up with old ones! We can provide transport to and from the venue for a cost of £4, or alternatively you can meet us there.  Bring some money for the cos of your tea, coffee and biscuits. Entertainment and Access Group - come and join our independent advisory group, in association with Buxton Opera House.  We will be looking at what barriers older people face when accessing entertainment.  We also suggest films for the Silver Screenings at Buxton Cinema, disabled access, older person's Theatre Critics Circle and setting up a social club for over 65's.  Help us to shape the future of entertainment for older people in the High Peak.
